Structural Repair on a Professional Chassis Table
Structural and chassis repair is the foundation of any serious restoration or rebuild. If the structure isn't right, nothing else matters — doors won't fit, glass won't seal, and the car will never drive straight. Vehicle owners from Yankton to Vermillion and throughout the region bring their cars to Mohnson Fab because we perform all structural work on a professional chassis table, not on jack stands or a shop floor. This gives us a known-flat, level reference surface and solid mounting points so the vehicle is properly supported and accurately positioned throughout the repair.
We handle unibody repair, body-on-frame structural work, subframe replacement, torque box repair, frame rail straightening and replacement, and any other structural metalwork your vehicle needs. Every repair is measured against factory specifications using our Continental UMS measuring system, so you know the structure is correct — not just close enough.

Measured Accuracy at Every Stage
Our process starts with mounting the vehicle on the chassis table and taking a full set of baseline measurements with the Continental UMS. This tells us exactly where the structure is out of spec and by how much. From there, we develop a repair plan that addresses the damage in the correct sequence — because on a unibody or integrated structure, the order of operations matters.
Damaged structural members are cut out and replaced with properly formed steel, welded in place, and re-measured to confirm alignment. We use TIG and MIG welding for structural joints, selecting the process based on material thickness and joint accessibility. For first-gen Mustangs, our dedicated Mustang unibody chassis fixture provides model-specific reference points that go beyond what a general-purpose chassis table offers. The result is structural work you can trust — measured, verified, and built to the specifications the factory intended.

Structural Work for All Vehicle Types
We perform chassis and structural repair on unibody vehicles, body-on-frame vehicles, classic cars, muscle cars, and anything else that needs structural attention. Our Dakota City, Nebraska shop draws customers from across the region — Sioux City, Omaha, Lincoln, Sioux Falls, Des Moines, and beyond — because professional chassis table work with measured accuracy is not commonly available. Whether your vehicle has collision damage, severe rust in structural areas, or previous repair work that was done incorrectly, we have the equipment and experience to get the structure right.
